 Hi,

We are planning from RAM upgrade from version 7511 to 7521. Looking for some guidelines as to what all related application to be upgraded.

Currently we have RAM 7.5.1.1 using WAS 7.0.0.33 and Database as DB2 9.7 Enterprise Edition. Everything is running on a single server.

Running on Windows Server

What I am looking is some specific information based on our current setup.

Something like - From where to start with WAS ? DB2 ? or RAM. The link doesn’t have specific details.

I am planning is upgrading the WAS to 8.5.0.2, DB2 to 10.1

The online guide provides generic information

http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/ramhelp/v7r5m2/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.ram.installguide.doc%2Ftopics%2Ft_ram_backup_restore.html

The intent is to stay with the latest version.

Hi!
For the guideline, you could just use IM to upgrade RAM first, then go to http://ramurl/ram.setup to go through all the steps.
But please backup all the things which show in the online guide. And you could upgrade WAS to 8502 and DB2 to 10.1, since RAM 7521 support them.
So the steps could be:
1. Upgrade WAS to 8502.
2. Upgrade DB2 to 10.1.
3. Use IM to upgrade the RAM
4. Go to ram.setup page using browser.
5. Go through all the steps.
Thanks a lot.
