I've seen in posts that were 3+ years old that only Jazz Admins could update Scheduled Absences for another user.
Is this still the case or has there been any update to allow non- Jazz Admins to update on behalf of another? Thanks! |

Hi Jeffrey,
It is a good point! We have two enhancements on jazz.net for that: https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=114366 and https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=60786. Feel free to subscribe to enhancements and share your interest in the comment. Jeffrey Burke selected this answer as the correct answer

If you make sure to encrypt/hide the technical user needed to do that today with admin rights, you could provide users a way to upload their data. see https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/2014/07/22/manage-scheduled-absences-using-the-plainjava-client-libraries/

One other answer
I just gave somebody JazzProjectAdmin access and they are now able to add scheduled absences. JazzProjectAdmin is less permissive than JazzAdmin and more permissive than JazzUser. A JazzProjectAdmin can also create project areas.

Thanks Rosa! That is probably more access then we want to give.
