Configure project association without the need to logon to remote server

I've created server friendship between 2 servers and now I would like to associate the 2 projects. I'm an administrator on one of these server, but on the other server I don't have access.  I've worked with the other administrator and we've tried adding trusted connection, I've also set a task ID to logon but we still being prompted for userid and password on the remote server to create the association.     

Is there a way around this, without having to add one of us to the remote project area as project admin?
