Hello Eric,
check your process template follow-up actions.
Take SCRUM Template as example: you'll notice a create category action,
where you can specify your categories - which values will populate the Filed Against combo.
Open Template, and go to Process Configuration tab.
Go to Project Initialization, and add the follow-up action to create your categories.
Hope it helps,
Eric

Thanks Eric, but my issue is that i need to create a task template and the filed against for some tasks in the template must be for example group A .... and for another group of tasks in the Task Template must be Group B in the filed against combo ....
Hello,
right - now I understand you were talking about work item templates,
and no Process Templates.
Tested with RTC 4.0.5
- created 2 categories - cat1 and cat2
- created 2 tasks filed against cat1
- created 2 tasks filed against cat2
- created a new work item template
- added the 4 tasks (did not check the attribute variables)
- created new work items from this template
observed:
- 2 tasks created with filed against cat1
- 2 tasks created filed against cat2
Not sure if this is what you're trying to do.

Eric,
what is the template you're using? Formal Project Management?
