Not able to select link type "Specified By / Specifies" to link artifacts in RRC
Hi,
I am using a given RRC Project and although I can see link type "Specified By / Specifies" available from the "Manage Project Properties" page, I am not able to select it from the dropwdown list when creating a link to an artifact: This happens on the same project configuration used in both RRC 4.0.2 and 4.0.6 versions. Here is how link type "Specified By / Specifies" is listed in the "Manage Project Properties" page on RRC 4.0.2: And here is how link type "Specified By / Specifies" is listed in the "Manage Project Properties" page on RRC 4.0.6 (apparently there is a new column "RDF URI" after version 4.0.2): Does anyone know what does that happen and how to solve it? Thanks in advance! Vicky |

Hi Vicky,
The Specification link type you referred to is actually a CLM-reserved OSLC link type used specifically for the integration between RRC and Rational Focal Point Model elements. The Elaboration link type is also designed to be used only for this integration. You can find more information about the RM OSLC spec here:
Hope this helps,

Hi,
Although I found this information in this URL http://open-services.net/bin/view/Main/RmVocabulary#specifiedBy, I am not sure of what that means: specifiedBy is an RDF property. Expresses a specification relationship between entities. For example, a model element can specify a requirement.
I look forward to any clarification. Thanks!
Vicky
