Why are categories greyed out when creating test cases or scripts within artifact sections?

Loyde Mitchell (33611) | asked Apr 15 '14, 3:15 a.m.
Since we upgraded from RQM v4.0.2 to v4.0.4, we have found that when creating artifacts from within parent artifact sections, the categories are greyed out - see attached...

What is the reason for this change?
Unable to set categories

Do you mean when you create test script by itself(not within Test Case section), then you have no problem? The categories seem to be customized. Did you upgrade the 402 project areas only or you import the RQM process template into v404?
Can you try with a JazzAdmin user and see if it makes any difference(for testing purpose)?

 Hi Don,
Yes, when creating artifacts normally there is no problem. It was a normal upgrade as we usually do. Have never seen this before and it makes no difference whether it is a admin or normal user - we still see the same behaviour?

I am not sure what could contribute to this odd behavior. I only know when importing some process template with customized category using JazzProjectAdmin(not JazzAdmin) would have some problem. One thing you may try is going to Manage property and try to modify the test script category and save them again in 404 and see if that makes any difference.

Hi Loyde, I have been checking the code and we don't have any significant change in the create dialog, and also, same as Don Yang I was unable to reproduce this problem.  Probably the best course of action would be to  open a PMR to continue the investigation.
