Hi

My client defines a link label defferent from its link name without direction. In usual case, this link label is to define its direction. My understanding is that labels with no direction is not usual usage  in RRC.

  • Is there any concern? Does this kind of oparation cause any data corruption?

She implemented this following proceedure.

1. Create New type and difine its Name. Then lthe value of labels become same with Link Type Name.

2. Change value of labes. Define both labels as same value. then save.

3. succeed to save a link label defferent from its link name without direction

4. This link seems to work fine

Thank you in advance.

Natsumi

 Natsumi,

This kind of operation would not cause any sort of data corruption, since it is a very normal use case to define bi-directional link types. If you look at the "Synonym" link type, for example, it should be defined this same way.

Did you have any specific questions regarding bi-directional link types?

Thank you for your answer!
Currently we do not plan to use bi-directional link. So that your answer is enough for me now.
