Hello,

Is it supported to import ReqIF files ,which exported from RRC 4.0.2, into RRC 4.0.4?
If both of RRC 4.0.2 and RRC 4.0.4 are based on a same formal ReqIF, they should be compatible.
Formal Version(s) of ReqIF

My customer needs to migrate a RRC project from an evaluation environment to their production environment. This evaluation environment is RRC 4.0.2, but their prod. env is RRC 4.0.4. It is not allowed to upgrade the evaluation env.

Thank you in advanced.

Natsumi

This export ought to be ok. There should be compatibility across RRC versions of the kind you want.

It's also a good idea to examine the Type systems of the source and target Projects for obvious conflicts (like using the same name for different Types, etc...).

Hi Natsumi,

If you're trying to get project data from one server to another you could try using a project template.  You could create a template in the evaluation environment.  Import the template into the production environment.  And create a new project from the template.  I would test this out to see if it works with your use case.  Thanks.

Here are some info center links about project templates:
