It appears that artefacts and modules are being 'randomly' locked for editing which means others cannot update.  

Any thoughts?

It could be that some people are closing browser windows without ending their editing sessions.
If you are on a recent release of RRC/RDNG you should be able to see who owns each lock (and in the latest, filter by locks to find them all easily).

Hi Michael,

There is a locking feature, but it shouldn't be random.  Here's the info center link on the feature.  I hope this helps.
