RAM as DMS/CMS

William Byrne (5545) | asked Feb 15 '14, 4:02 a.m.
Any reason why RAM should not be used as a general Document Management System for business documents not directly related to the production of software artifacts; e.g.,  accounting documents such as invoices and POs, expense reports, marketing collateral, legal agreements, etc?

Hi William,

RAM is able to manage whatever assets you want. The lifecycle function could be fine-tuned to the process of your company, plus the customized policy to ensure the necessary conditions are met. RAM also has well-designed classification system to categorize assets. A hierarchical user entitlement mechanism is established to prevent users from accessing assets that they do not have right to see. Last but not least, the RAM search function is so powerful that you could get to the desired asset as soon as possible.
All in all, RAM is a good choice to manage your asset and it  will definitely make your work much easier.
