CLM 4.0.3 Error : Project area cannot be saved. Duplicate permissions role id specified: new_role(1)

Hi

Recently we noticed the below error while performing any sort of modifications such as adding a existing LADP user , associating a role to this user and then saving the project area.

This was seen on an upgraded life cycle project (RQM project area) (Upgraded from CLM v3.0.1.3 to CLM v4.0.3)
Interestingly, users are able to perform modification on RM / CCM life cycle project area (upgraded one) , thus error being specific to upgraded RQM project area

Appreciate some quick inputs on this..!! :)

Thanks

The error message suggests duplicate permissions role id. You can use Eclipse client and open the specific RQM project area > Process Configuration Source > Permission role_id and see if you see the specific role id is already existing or not. You may see some clue on the error there.

If your RQM project template has been customized, it may need further investigation why upgrade is causing the problem. Please contact support for that.
