Reverting Work Item To Previous Point In History

Within RTC, I am trying to place a completed work item back to a previous status (In progress for example). Is this possible?

Depending on the work flow, there should be a Reopen action that will put the Status back to the initial state in most cases.   Then move it forward to the desired status.   This will leave traces, so there's no hiding the fact that this happened, but sometimes it is necessary to take this kind of action.
