Upgrade of RRDI - is WAS required - where do I get it from?

Hi all,

I am in the process of upgrading RRDI from 1.0.2 in order to proceed with upgrading CLM from 3.0 - 4.0. I have the following issue.

Issue

1. We are currently in the midst of upgrading RRDI from 1.0.2 to 2.0.3 to support CLM upgrade to 4.0.2.

In step 3.Upgrading Rational Reporting for Development Intelligence (RRDI)’ we are unable to perform part d.Install WebSphere Application Server' as we do not have a copy of WAS on hand.

 Questions

1.     Is installation of WAS required as part of upgrading RRDI upgrade from 1.0.2 – 2.0.3? Which version of WAS is required and where can I obtain it?

2.    Does WAS come with the IBM RRDI Installation zip file? If not, where can it be downloaded from? I have tried to IBM Passport access area, but am unable to access it.

 Thanks all

Hello Aart,

1) Yes, for RRDI 2.X you need a separate installation of WAS.
The supported versios are listed in this article:

System Requirements for the Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management 4.0.1 and 4.0.2
https://jazz.net/library/article/1109#mozTocId511998

2) WAS is not included in the RRDi installation package. It should be available on Passport Advantage under the CLM products you purchased (RTC, RQM or RRC), or on jazz.net:

Rational Team Concert 4.0.2 Optional Programs
