How to connect from BIRT to jazz Data Warehouse
I understand that we need to use BIRT to design customized report templates for RTC. How can I connect from BIRT to Jazz DW. I have BIRT 2.2.2 on my machine. As per the documentation it says "Select the Data Explorer view. Right-click on the Data Sources node, and select New Data Source. Select "Jazz DW Data Source". But I cant find "Jazz DW Data Source" in the list of data sources.
Am I missing something here?

Hi,
It sounds like maybe your BIRT or DTP plug-ins aren't installed
correctly on your client. The plug-in that provides that list item is
called com.ibm.team.reports.ide.ui.oda. Can you check whether that
plug-in is enabled in your client? (Help > About > Plug-in Details)
Also, check our your client .log file in your workspace directory to see
if it gives you clues as to which bundles have unsatisfied dependencies.
To be sure, did you install the full versions of both DTP and EMF? The
versions that you get with RTC are a subset of the full versions
required by the BIRT editor.

I'm not familiar with why "Starting" would be next to the plug-in -
sounds like an initialization problem.
Are there any messages in your error log (can be viewed either from the
Error Log view in the rich client, or in the .log file in the .metadata
directory of your workspace) that might be relevant?

Hi James,
I checked under Help->About-> ConfigurationDetails and under
plugin registry i see "com.ibm.team.reports.ide.ui.oda
(0.6.1.I200810081722) "Reports IDE UI" "
does "Starting" gives any clue?

Not sure if you're using BIRT standalone, but I downloaded the "birt-designer-all-in-one-2_2_2" package, unzipped, grabbed everything in the <birt>\eclipse\plugins directory and dropped it into the <RTCinstallroot>\TeamConcert\plugins, grabbed everything in the <birt>\eclipse\features directory and dropped it into the <RTCinstallroot>\TeamConcert\features, started RTC and got the Jazz Data Source.
