retagged Feb 20 '13, 9:41 a.m. by Laura Kuczarski (211●3●7) Hi I am using CLM4.0.1 with DB2 v9.5 database,
I was wondering when I delete test case results and check the space on disk the jazzdata files (9GB and 4GB) in different containers, which I assume are tablespaces are not reduced to free up space. Is deleting test case results and other artifacts are archived and not physically deleted? I looked up the repository tool deleteJSFResources but I assume that the tool is only used for deleting archived (obsolete) artifacts from RRC Requirements Composer. Although it has references to the qm repositories.
Is there a way to free up disk space as I have deleted ~18000 test case results RFT execution logs and assumed that would free up space.

Hi Sean,
the link you provide is indeed limited to RRC (afaik). For the deletion of test results (and other test artefacts) you'd want to check Plan Item 52743 Regards, Stéphane Sean Lee-Loy selected this answer as the correct answer

Hi Sean,
You are correct that the test case results are archived and not deleted. I'm not sure if this helps, but in 4.0.1 you can permanently delete test case result attachments to free up disk space: https://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0m1/topic/com.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc/topics/t_delete_attachments.html Thanks, Laura Comments

Yes I also read that on the help. But unfortunately when I delete the test case result I don't even get the prompt to say to permanently delete the attachments. I think this is only true for attached log files for CLA (Command Line Adapter) not the standard RFT execution logs. I'm using RQM 4.0.1 as well so I thought that would work.

Hi Laura, Do all test case results have attachments? If no, how do we know which ones have?
Hi Sean, That checkbox is available in RQM 4.0.1. You possibly used pre-4.0.1. Thanks
