can't install RTC 1.0.1 into Eclipse 3.4.1

Mark Miller (41118) | asked Nov 04 '08, 1:43 p.m.
I am trying to install TeamConcert 1.0.1 client using the Installation Manager into a new install of Eclipse 3.4.1 EE on linux. I had previously installed TeamConcert 1.0 into an Eclipse 3.4.1 EE install with no trouble. I am getting the following error:

this continues with more packages that exceeded the size of the clipboard.

Has anyone else tried this,

Thank you.

Any idea when this might be resolved or if there is a work around to install it anyway?

Hi Mark,

Yes, there is a workaround which is to make sure that you have launched
(and shutdown) the 3.4.1 EE edition eclipse at least once before you
install RTC into it.

There appears to be a problem with the packaging of the 3.4.1 EE edition
(it includes a platform.xml that is incorrect) that is causing the
installation manager to get confused about what is there.

See the work item I opened additional details and let me know if that
workaround does not resolve the issue for you.

Hope that helps!
