RQM copyutility questions
Hi Team,
Have some concerns in using the RQM copyutility. Hope to get some explicit answers here 1. Is it recomendded or suggested by IBM to use this on Production servers? 2. How safe is it to use this to move projects from One server to another server? 3. The limitation says :
CLM links
Does not allow for copying CLM links such as Requirement, Work Item, or Plan Item links. CLM linking is only supported in the OSLC QM API What does this mean to Reqpro and CQ links and artifats? Is it not supported? 4. Any other known issues we are aware of? 5. How does the defects of this utility are treated by IBM? In general what is the success ratio of using this on Production Servers with Reqpro and CQ integrated and how safe it is? |

1) Yes. However, see https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RQMCopyUtility#Recommended_Usage_Pattern and https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RQMCopyUtility#Known_Limitations.
2) Project copy/move is not supported (see [JAF] Support moving projects between Jazz repositories (93151)). 3) ReqPro and CQ links would not be copied. 4) See https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RQMCopyUtility#Known_Limitations. 5) PMRs can be created but APARs cannot be created for this type of "as is" utility (see Terms of Use). Unfortunately, we do not maintain customer/user satisfaction/success statistics. I would suggest querying the fixed/open defects against the Integrations/Reportable REST API component (with 'copy' Full Text). Srikanth Bhushan selected this answer as the correct answer

Thanks for the answers Paul. Need a clarification on 2). The wiki doc for Copyutility says : "The destination of the copy can be the same Project Area, a different Project Area in the same RQM repository, or a different repository/server altogether." With the WI you referred, its contradicting. Can you please confirm what is possible/supported and what is not possible/not supported with Copyutility across different server to copy complete project area Thanks 1
Yes, you can copy supported test resources (https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RQMCopyUtility#Known_Limitations) between project areas and repositories, but not the project area itself. That is, the source and destination project areas must exist (see -d/-destinationURL).
