Unable to save test cases in RQM after upgradation

Rajesh Avanthi (10815145173) | asked Sep 05 '12, 5:34 a.m.
Hi

RQM has been successfully upgraded from RQM 3.0.1.2 to RQM 4.0
After up-gradation, users nor the administrator are able to save the testcases. They receive the following error:

  ==============  ERROR ======================

CRJAZ6053E The 'save work Item' operation cannot be completed.
Permission is required to complete the operation. For more details , open the help system and search for CRJAZ6053E.

You don't have permission to perform the following actions:
Initialize (Default WorkFlow) (action/bugzillaWorkflow.action.confirm)
Modify the work Items summary (modify/summary)
Modify the work items 'Found in' attribute  (modify/version)
Create a 'Defect' work item's 'Planned For' attribute (modify/target)

=================================================
Users are not able to log defects and tasks. Even the project area  administrators are not able to do these operations. Providing all the permissions to the role also did not fix the issue.

Any inputs on this would be appreciated.

Thanks and Regards
Rajesh

Hi Rajesh

It definitely looks like a permission issue to me.
When you say 'Providing all the permissions to the role also did not fix the issue.'; do you mean the user still gets the same error message?

Could you confirm if the users having proper licenses for creating defects and tasks( I believe they would require a 'Quality Professional' or atleast a 'Developer' license.

Also do these users have process roles assigned to them for the given project area?
Does these process roles have the permission checked to create and save workitems?

Best Regards
Rajat
