renewing Jazz password

sorry to post it here, but you will see that I have no choice. The story is in a nutshell:
1. I got an automatically generated email that my Jazz pswd is going to expire
2. I clicked on the link provided in the mail, and then I get a login page
3. I put in my - still existing - account name/pswd
4. after a while I got a page with "oops" = error 404
5. there was a link there saying that if you got this page thru a link click "here"
6. the link launched an OUTLOOK2007 setup >>> obviously I didn't do it

Q: how can I renew my Jazz pswd then?

Can you post the url that is bringing you to the error 404 page (as long as it does not contain any personal information)? The link that is bringing up the Outlook setup is apparently a link to send an email to the forum admin. You could copy the link by right clicking it. (Exactly how depends on your browser). The link should contain the email address it is trying to use. Then send the email to that address from your usual email client.

Permanent link
the email snipet + link
"...Please log in and change your password as soon as possible
by following this link:
http://jazz.net/user/password-change.jsp
..."

I clicked on the link form the email previously... however, if I cut&paste into a browser window then a page comes up where I can change my pswd.
conclusions:
  • I could change my pswd without prb
  • but NOT clicking on the link but cut&paste it to a web-browser
  • I use firefox 10.0.11

cheers
