Getting Rational Insight Excel Integration to work

Hi,
I'm trying to integrate a MS Excel worksheet as a data source for Rational Insight.
I am following this tutorial: https://jazz.net/library/article/671 and am stuck at validating the ODBC-Data Source in the Cognos Framework Manager. Testing the connection results in the status "failed".
I tried using a .csv / the MS Access text ODBC-driver, but arrive at the same result.
Does anyone have an idea for a possible error source or solution?
Thanks.

Hi Johannes,
The data source should be added to the 32-bit ODBC Administrator tool (C:\Windows\Syswow64\odbcad32.exe) if you're on a 64-bit system. In order to access the data source from Framework Manager, you need to define an ODBC data source from within Cognos first. Perhaps you added the data source to the 64-bit ODBC Administrator rather than the 32-bit tool?
