RTC random cursor jumping

Barry Gordon (2334) | asked Nov 08 '12, 8:29 p.m.

I've recently noticed that while typing data into RTC via the Eclipse client, the cursor will randomly jump to the top of the field. If I were using a laptop, I'd suspect an overly-sensitive touchpad, but this also happens on my desktop machine. Others in my group have reported seeing the same symptoms. It has likely shown up with our recent upgrade to Eclipse v4.0.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Any ideas on a root cause?

I am using Windows 7 64-bit with this RTC version:
Version: 4.0.1
Build id: RTC-I20121113-2333

and am seeing this cursor jumping error. I read 239378 and the referenced 4.0.1 defect (which indicates it's fixed in RC3, but that doesn't seem to be the case?

I can't upgrade to 4.0.2 client because my server is at 4.0.1.

Is there a fix for 4.0.1? If so, how can I get it?

Thanks!

Others have seen this, including myself.  It looks like Cursor jumps around in the Eclipse Description or Summary in Eclipse Client (239378) covers the problem.  Feel free to comment in that work item.  If you do, please include the version of the RTC client that you are running and your operating system.
