RQMExcel, how do you get the name of predefined section?

Francisco Burgos (5157) | asked Oct 30 '12, 7:19 a.m.
I try know what is the section names of "Test Schedule" inside a "Test Plan" because my target is programming an .cfg file where I linked an "Iteration field" with "Test Plan" (on Excel file).

That is to say, I would like having an Excel file with a Test Plan template where there is a field "Iteration".

I am reading the documentation: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc%2Ftopics%2Ft_create_config_files_import_excel_artifacts.html
and where says:

  • To determine the name or display name of predefined sections:
    1. Update the predefined section of a resource in Quality Management.
    2. Read the resource as XML with abbreviate=false .
    3. Locate the element in the XML document with the section name, for example, com.ibm.rqm.planning.editor.section.testCaseAcceptanceCriteria .
    4. Locate the extensionDisplayName attribute in the element that contains the section display name, for example RQM-KEY-TC-ACCEPT-CRITERIA-TITLE .

I do an input on url site:
https://...&subAction=viewTestPlan&id=398&abbreviate=false
but nothing happen. How I do this for get this name?

Hi Francisco,
Excel Importer doesn't support the 2 field yet,
and it's tracked in
Ability to create test schedule information in the ExcelImport utility (68257)

Ok thx!

Then by now, I can't create Excel templates where:

I link a Test Plan with an "Iteration" inside the "Test Schedules".
I link a Test Case with an "Iteration" inside the "Test Case Execution Records"

True?

Ok, thank you very much.

Only the last question. If this cannot be, what do you mean "iteration" in the "Support Resources" on https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RQMExcelWordImporter#Supported_Resources ?

Hi Francisco,
I think it is a mistake on the wiki as I didn't find this support in the source code, FYI

Thanks Hao, but in this (Test Plan) list I don't see any "Test Schedules" or "Iteration". ¿?
