some problem about RTC plan
I have read some documentation about RTC planning, and had some try, but I feel that it is very complicated, so many field like estimated time, planned start time/end time, and duration time and so on get involved, I was totally comfused, but Now I am having another try, I have some problem want to ask you guys:
1. How does the resource tab in planning page used for, I can see a lot of guys inside it after I add peoples into the project area, I think that show us the resources have already been added when I add them to project area, why a "Add resource" button is placed inside the resource tab to let me add this guys, ok, if it is necessary, when I add some one who is not belongs to this project area, what would happen?
2. In the planned items tab, I create some business need and some tasks, and give the task estimated time, then assigned one of the task to a specific guy, but it says this:
but I checked the date range, it is larger than the task estimated time, what is wrong with it?
3. I want to have a look at Progress in the Plan detail section, click the load ,and then show me "Load: 36/272 | +236 h"(just my testing project area), I am wondering how get 272 hours workload, my own sum is different from 272, so I want to know that how that workload be populated
4. say today is Oct 13 2012, and the iteration is from Oct 13 to Nov 12 2012 in the timeline, after the resource and workitem is created and allocated, I take a plan snapshot of planed type, so the Planned Start Date sould be Oct 15 2012 9:00:00 AM, one of the task estimated time is 4 hours, but it show me the Planned End Date was Oct 15 2012 1:00:00 PM, why?, doesn't RTC support the free time(for example 1 hour launch time)

Hi,
you should utilize the https://jazz.net/library narrowing down to planning using the search field or the tags should give you a good overview of articles that describe planning with more scenarios. Some articles that you should look at from the search result:
