Graphical Links Explorer

It would be really useful to have the Graphical Links Explorer available from within RTC, then you could see links between RTC objects (Epics to Stories to Tasks) and between RTC and RRC objects (if your project is using Requirements), and between RRC and RQM objects.

Our current project doesn't make use of Requirements to we don't use RRC, and therefore Links Explorer is of no value, but we still could use a traceability view for Epics to Stories to Test Artifacts and to Defects.

Any idea if RTC will get a Graphical Links Explorer capability?

Unfortunately I know of no plans for RTC to include the link explorer, currently that is an RRC feature. I would suggest raising an enhancement request on RTC.

Robin,

Thanks for the quick feedback. Can you explain how to submit my "enhancement" request to RTC? I don't see anything on the jazz.net site that provides a vehicle for submitting those types of requests.

Thanks

Hi Bob,

To submit enhancements or bug each product page has a "What's Happening" page, for example for RTC

https://jazz.net/products/rational-team-concert/whats-happening#activity

If you look on the right hand side is a link "Submit a bug"

https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational Team Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.newWorkItem

Once the defect work item appears you can change the type to "Enhancement"

Have RRC Link Explorer support deeper (beyond single depth) links to RTC
