No RM Projects linked - so requirements are not getting exported to RQM

Chandan Jha (911114) | asked Sep 14 '12, 3:29 a.m.

Hi,

I am trying to export  requirements and  test cases using RQMExcelImporter(1.0.4529.9380 version) addin to RQM 2.0.1.1 iFix 2 version.  I have created TestProject in RQM.

In first step after validation of  user credentials and selecting my TestProject. Now the  next step the RMLoginDialog appears where in Linked Rm Projects -it shows No RM  Projects Linked.

Due to this  reason my Requirements are not getting exported while Test cases are  exported sucessfully. How  to link the RM project to resolve this partial export issue?  Do I have to create two different project or need  to change something in existing TestProject properties/area ?

Please let me know the solution to export my requirements in the same TestProject area where the Testcases exported. Appreciate your responses.

Thanks-

Chandan

Hi

From RQM v3.x, the requirements are no more managed with in RQM. They are now managed in RRC that comes bundled with the installer.
Due to this the excel importer that are now being shipped are having an additional field to specify the project area in RRC.

I suggest you download the excel importer that is shipped with RQM 2.0.1.1 ifix 2 version and then try the import.
It can be downloaded from: https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-quality-manager/releases/2.0.1.1iFix2/RQM-Extras-RQMExcelWordImporter-2.0.1.1-iFix2.zip

Rajat

Thanks Rajat , I installed the 2.0.1 ExcelImporter from your given link. In the cfg file I have mentioned this line- testcase.requirement=Link(A)
to associate the testcase with requirement present in excel column A.

Now while exporting to RQM using this version I am getting the following error :-

Error: Configuration File, Line 11, Found a value that reduced to "Link(A)", but was expecting a value equivelant to a column, cell, or literal.

Exporting Aborted: Errors found!

Is the keyword is different to associate the testcase with the requirement what i have given? Because with 4.0 the same is working.

Hi Chandan,
the export to requirement through OSLC was added in RQM Excel Importer 4.0 (the Linked Rm Project dialog), so you cann't using RQM Excel Importer 4.0 to export requirement to RQM 2.0.

Thanks for the help.

I  installed the  2.0.1 ExcelImporter. In the cfg file I have mentioned this line-
testcase.requirement=Link(A)
to associate/link the testcase with requirement present in excel column A.

Now  while exporting to RQM using this version I am getting the following error :-

Error: Configuration File, Line 11, Found a value that reduced to "Link(A)", but was expecting a value equivelant to a column, cell, or literal.

*** Exporting Aborted: Errors found! ***

Can you please tell me what i should  write to assocate the requirement with test case ? I  had tried testcase.requirement=Link(A)   which  is working in 4.0  but not working in 2.0 ExcelImporter version CFG and aborting the export opertaion.
