Can RTC be installed on Debian?

José Erimá Fernandes Júnior (11111) | asked Aug 30 '12, 2:34 p.m.
Hello everyone.

I have a computer with Debian Lenny 32-bits based and I want to install RTC on it for testing. I saw on system requirements that I could not install. I tried once and the installation finished, but I'm not sure that it's working, because I'm having problem with user authentication. So I want to hear by you if it's possible or maybe it's better I give up.

Our product testing focuses on the Linux distributions listed on the system requirements page, and those are the only versions we support.  However, we usually do not come across issues when installing the server on other modern Linux distributions.

Specifically, I don't know of anyone that has tried installing the RTC server on Debian Lenny, but I would expect it to work.
