Hi,
I installed IBM Installation Manager.
I am trying to install RTC-Web-Installer-5.0.2
I am getting Exception as "Install Executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library"

What is the solution for this?

Hello Chandan,

following are some documents about the error you are encountering:

Workaround: IBM Installation Manager installed on machine is incompatible with the version included in Jazz downloads
https://jazz.net/library/article/1296

Companion shared library is not found during WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit installation
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21668172

64-bit version of Installation Manager fails to start when you use 32-bit media
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21626270

I hope they help.

HI Chiossi,
Thanks for the quick response.

I used 32bit instead of 64bit.
I am getting different exceptions.

install-server.xml file cannot be found. Even though it is there in im ->win32xwin86->install-server.xml
What could be the solution?

Hello Chandan,

the error you are experiencing seems to be related to the network connection between the server and the Internet, for example if you need to go through a proxy.

The following technote provides 3 possible solutions:

Package specified in the install-server.xml file cannot be found error when installing CLM from the Web Installer
