RSA design models import issue
Hi,
I am trying to import RSA design models and it always imports with warning and the detail is given below. Details Number of Resources: 18 Number of Elements: 452 Number of Resources Deleted: 0 Unset Path Map Variables: * UML2_MSL_PROFILES * UML_LIBRARIES * UML_PROFILES When I try to view the models from the model explorer, I am not able to load it beyond the package, hence not able to view and work on the actual diagrams. I tried with my own models as well as using the sample piggybank model from JAZZ.net. Appreciate any help on this. |

The "Unset Path Map Variables" issue can be resolved by going to the Import Definition Page under the Import menu and adding the unset path map variables to the Path Maps section.

The "Unset Path Map Variables" issue can be resolved by going to the Import Definition Page under the Import menu and adding the unset path map variables to the Path Maps section. Thanks Wayne. I tried adding the path maps, but it still has the warnings, I am adding this to import definition. variable RUP_PROFILES, value = Piggybank Activity Diagram variable UML2_MSL_PROFILES = Piggybank Activity Diagram variable UML_LIBRARIES = Piggybank Activity Diagram variable UML_PROFILES = Piggybank Activity Diagram where Piggybank Activity Diagram is the name of the project I am trying to import. |
I tried adding the path maps, but it still has the warnings, I am adding this to import definition. Are all of those profiles (i.e. epx files) in the Piggybank Activity Diagram project? Please double check, because although it is possible, it seems unlikely. The value should be the actual location of those profile (.epx) files. By the way, RUP_PROFILES, UML2_MSL_PROFILES, UML_LIBRARIES, and UML_PROFILES are all supposed to be part of the system defined path maps, so it is somewhat unusual why the page doesn't block you from adding them. Are there any errors in your log? How many system defined entries do you see in the Path Maps section of the Import Definition page? If there are very few, I suspect it could be a problem with the plugin deployment. What version of the product are you running? |
Logs have been sent to your IBM emails.
Thanks, Mike. |
Logs have been sent to your IBM emails. Thanks for the logs -- they were helpful in diagnosing the problem. The issue is that there are plugins which appear not to be provisioned correctly. (This also explains why there were no pathmaps at all in the patmaps section.) I can see that the server was installed in January, but there were some features installed in May, and they appear to be deployed using WebSphere. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with WebSphere, but I think if you can get the plugins to deploy properly in WebSphere, the issue will be resolved. |
