Defect Management in QM
Hi everybody,
I am dealing with the defect management within RQM 3.0.1. I dont want to include RTC. But there is no defect management without using RTC unless we use Legacy Process Template.
I know that Legacy Process Template is coming from RQM 2.0 but i was wondering if there would be a gap if we use this template in CLM 3.0 in order to manage defects?
Also I guess I have to export this template from RQM 2.0 and impport it to QM 3.0, is there a way to download this template?
Thank you very much

Defect management in RQM-3.0.1 is provided by the CCM application (which
is the same application that provides defect management to RTC). So you
aren't including RTC ... you are just using the CCM application. This
is true no matter what template you are using.

Just FYI, you probably won't want to get too attached to storing work
items in the QM application ... at some point, that may go away, and
your only option will be to store work items in the CCM application.

Sorry for using RTC, I meant CCM.
I found the necessary template which doesn't include CCM into defect
management. You just have to re-deploy all the QM templates again in
the admin panel so "Legacy Process Template" is ready to
use.
Now you have local defect management.
Hi Geoff,
I am totally aware of that situation but the reason that I am trying to use local defect management is that people that I have been working with don't have CCM licenses. When they have CCM, I'll integrate CCM and QM :)

Maybe that is the misunderstanding ... in 3.0.1, your RQM licenses (both
"RQM Quality Professional" and "RQM Contributor") give you rights to use
the CCM application for defect management (and work items in general).
Note that there is no such thing as a "CCM License" ... there are "RTC
Licenses", "RQM Licenses", and "RRC Licenses". Most of
