There was an error attempting to create the new user

Hi,

I am trying to install CLM 3.0.1 on WAS with Domino as LDAP and DB2 as database. I've already posted another post on trouble with the reverse proxy and running the setup wizard.

I've decided to put that on hold and atleast get RTC setup. I've managed to get to Step 5 where the wizard asks what user repository I am using. I've chosen LDAP and filled out everything identical to the values I filled out in the federated repository section of WAS. The test connection passes, but when I click next, I get the following error thrown. What user is the wizard trying to create and why? Our LDAP system does not allow for external programs to create users.

Also, what is the purpose of the users defined in a previous step like ccm_user, rm_user, etc. They don't exist in our LDAP - will that cause a problem later on.

I thought I'd try logging into the admin UI using vmittal. The login works, but once logged in, it lists me as ADMIN instead of VMittal? Why. I did change the web.xml to change CONFIDENTIAL to NONE in an effort to resolve the earlier problems with the reverse proxy (which made no difference).

Cheers

I think I have made some progress with this. There is a message in jts.log that says "User VMittal is not in the database". I think this is the root cause of my problems. I am logging into the setup with a user that is in LDAP and is in JazzAdmins, but is not in the JTS database.

I tried importing myself in to the database, but my name does not show up when I do a user search. Most other names show up. I've identified another 2 people who do not show up on search. The message says that existing users do not show up.

At this point, I think I am going to blow away the whole installation and start from scratch, but this time not use WAS security or LDAP. Get it all working with ADMIN/ADMIN and then change over to LDAP afterwards. Anyone got any other ideas that might be useful?

Cheers,
