I am not sure here, but I think to import the start and finish date you need the right to modify the timeline. I think I remember I saw a message saying so when I tried. There are some articles in the library you could check.

I do have rights to edit timelines.

Are there any errors you see? Have you checked the articles in the library and compared them to what you see?

I do not get any error message. It imports all the tasks to the plan but without start and finish dates. I refered to the article https://jazz.net/library/article/590/ and it do not refers to the date.

There is a newer article here: https://jazz.net/library/article/663

I just imported a test project plan and the dates imported are the plan start and end date, as in the article. The individual tasks start end end dates are calculated also using the resource availability after the import when doing the proposed and planned plan snapshots.

What field of mpp is mapped to Planned start and planned end date?

I have same trouble. Do you have the awnser? How import mpp files correctly to RTC?

Only suggestion I can give is to use a test server with a test project, export a plan with those dates and look it up in the export. Then try to import in another project.

I could import MPP to RTC. Sorry for the delay in posting the solution. The issue was with the field mapping. The field mapping should be as mentioned below.

Insert a new column in .mpp file of Column Type 'Deadline' ==> Copy the entire column values of Finish date to this newly inserted column ==> This column value will ultimately be populated in the Due Date field in RTC.

Insert a new column in .mpp file of Column Type 'Constraint Date' ==> Copy the entire column values of Start date to this newly inserted column ==> This column value will ultimately be populated in the Constraint Date field in RTC.
