What is meant by "Imprecisely Planned Work"

Mark Parry (31121711) | asked Jun 09 '08, 11:21 a.m.
In the "My Work" view there is a section called "Current Work" with a subsection of "Imprecisely Planned Worked" with a couple of work items under it. Each of these work items have estimates, so my question is what does the word "Imprecisely" mean in this case?

Hi Mark,

additional to planning work items for an iteration and estimating them,
you can specify the sequence in which you intend to resolve the work
items. This applies to items planned for a current iteration only. You
can think of this sequence as your "pile of work", where you work from
the top all the way through to the bottom, while at any time you can add
or remove work as well as rearranging it.

The sequence can be specified by drag'n'drop of a work item onto a group
such as "Today" or "Next Week" or by dropping it in between work items.
Alternatively, you can use the "Today", "Tomorrow" actions in the "Plan
For" context menu entry.

The Imprecisely Planned Work is just a bucket for all the work not yet
included in this "pile of work". It is called "imprecise" as there's no
hint when you intend to work on a work item during the iteration.

Hope this helps.
