CRJAZ0098I The service has failed

After downloading some updates in RTC 3.0 to install BIRT and installed on the same computer Rational ClearCase. Within RTC 3.0 I receive the following error:

Unable to log
CRJAZ0098I The service
"com.ibm.team.repository.common.internal.IRepositoryRemoteService{/ccm/service/com.ibm.team.repository.common.internal.IRepositoryRemoteService}" has failed. The server returned the error http 500 with the text "Internal Server Error".


I uninstalled Rational ClearCase but the error continues.
How can I fix this error without affecting the information I have in RTC 3.0?

Do you mean updates to your RTC client? A 500 error indicates there was a problem on the server side.

Yes, I download the RTC client updates and then I get this error from the server.

Do you mean updates to your RTC client? A 500 error indicates there was a problem on the server side.

This error is unrelated to whether or not you have Rational ClearCase
installed. We recommend that you run the RTC server on a different host
machine than your ClearCase servers, just to balance the workload on
your servers, but there are no known issues with running an RTC server
on the same host as your ClearCase servers (I personally do it all the
time).

Unfortunately, that does not give you an answer to your http 500 error
with RTC. If you don't get an answer on this forum, you should engage
with Rational Support.
