RIDW sizing

Hello all,

Is there any information available on how big RIDW can get? I realize that it corresponds with the amount of ETLs run and amount of data being transferred. However, is there any article, document, calculation algorithm, etc. I can point my customer to when they ask me to forecast how much space RIDW will take in a future?

Thank you!

Hi Nataliya

As you mention, it is very difficult to provide some general rules to determine how big someone's data warehouse might get. I would recommend that you record the size of the database now and track how it is growing as ETLS are run in order to project the future size.
