ClearCase Data Service takes too long to run query

Hi,

I'm trying to use Data Manager to extract data from ClearCase Base using Insight Data Services to load it into Insight DW. The problem is that when I run the query through DM the query stays in the Retrieving state indefinitely and when I try to stop it the program enters a state of "Not Responding".

When I access the Data Services via firefox it seems to be working fine.

Does anyone have any idea of what might be happening?

Hi pclacerda,

Based on our test result against small and large CC VOB, the staging build "FileVersion_stg" takes most of the ETL time (over 90% sometimes). What is the size of your VOB? Can you let it run in DataManager rather than retrieving all the records within the build definition dialog, you can monitor DM log and ri_jdbc log as well, then determine whether it passes or failes, say after a few hours later?

List VOBs from browser is much much lighter job for data service, that's why you see the result quickly :)
