RQMAll Data Movement job hangs
I am using Insight 1.0.0.2 and running the Data Movement task for RQMAll, and it seems to hang without ever successfully completing. RQM is version 2.0. We've tried leaving these tasks running for +12 hours without anything ever returning, and the run history provides no messages or detail about what is happening.
Although the job never finishes according to cognos administration status page, the error logs appear to indicate the task fails very quickly. Errors from the log: jobstream -- start run on insiteb1.(none) (30-Jul-2010 13:47:58) DM-DBM-0724 The CM Data Source 'RIDW (ETL)'; is unable to find the signon 'RIDW (ETL)' in the content store. DM-LIB-0300 Error initializing variable 'ETL_DATEID' to: GetETLDateID( $ETL_STARTTIME ). DM-BLD-0004 JobStream 'RQMAll' is not a valid specification. jobstream -- failed (30-Jul-2010 13:48:04) However, when I test the 'RIDW (ETL)' connection from the Cognos Admin page, it succeeds. I'd appreciate any help on this that anyone can offer. |

Is your signon name 'RIDW (ETL)'? Note that this isn't the name of the user that connects to the warehouse but the name of the signon (user + password) in Cognos.

Hi Lawrence - sorry for not replying, I didn't get notified of your update! I actually got the RQMAll data movement task working now, but I'm experiencing the same issue with the RTC task.
I'm using the Loop_RTC2.0 job. This job works correctly from Data Manager on Windows. I've published the task to my server (running on Linux), and I'm able to run the job manually from the Linux server using the 'rundsjob' command, yet the job still hangs with no logging/output when run through the Cognos web interface. |
Hi Jackie, What did you do to get the RQMALL job to run successfully? I am having the same issue and am stuck.
Thanks! |
Hi Marc,
I was using the wrong XDC file for RQM. I had been using the format for RQM Live, which has the structure Resources -> RQM. The ETL file has the structure RQM -> Rational Quality Manager -> RQM. Once I switched to the correct XDC file, the job ran successfully. I hope this helps! |
