Request new Friend Server button
Reading following page in InfoCenter:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/ramhelp/v7r5m0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.ram.web.doc/topics/t_opensocial_friendserver.html
I found following steps:
1. Log in to the Rational Asset Manager web application.
2. Click Administration.
3. Click the name of your community.
4. Click the Connections tab.
5. In the Jazz Server Connections section, click View Connections.
The Cross-Server Communication page opens.
6. In the Friend Servers section, click Request new Friend Server.
7. In the Request Friend Server window, type the URL address for the
server for which you want to be a friend server.
8. Click OK. Repository administrators will receive a notification
with your request. The request is also a task on their My Dashboard page.
I am using RAM 7.5 and I am not able to find the button commented in
step 6. Any hint?
Thanks in advance,
Chemi.

Hi,
That only shows if you are a community admin. If you are a repository
admin the button will be labeled "New Friend Server" and it can be
clicked and the entire connection made right there.
For community admins it just creates a ToDo to the repo admin to do the
actual work.

Hi,
One more thing. For a community Admin, it isn't a button. It is a link
at the bottom of the page for "Request New Friend Server"
The instructions didn't say it was a button, it just "click" "Request
new friend server"

Understood. I was a repository admin so that was the reason.
I said a button just by intuition. The instructions said "click" and as
repository admin I see a button saying "New Friend Server", so... but
that is not important. the important part is the different behavior (or
GUI) if you are community admin or repository admin.
Thanks,
Chemi.
