Error while opening .docx file in RRC

I have uploaded a word file in .docx format in RRC. In upload window the file was identified as other type. When i tried opening it, I am getting an error "Word cannot start converter mswrd63". I have converted that file into .doc and uploaded it again. In upload window file was identified as Microsoft word. Didn't get any error when the word file opened.

Is there any way to upload docx file so that i don't get error?

When uploading .docx files, go ahead and select it as type Microsoft Word rather than "other". That should resolve it. If not, it's possible you're running into an issue with the converter.
If you search using that error message, you'll find information relating to the registry on how it can be fixed. It's been a while, but I seem to recall this as something that could happen after applying a recent service pack or security fix.

Our technote for the problem can be found here. It links to the appropriate Microsoft KB article (973904) that outlines how to fix the problem.
