How to Customize Email Notification

I would like the body of the automated RTC email to always display the owner of the work item, but I am not sure how this can be done. Any input is much appreciated.

${workItem.owner} should resolve to the owner.

starting with Version 4 of course.. prior to V4 there is no mechanism to customize the email content
