Doubt about installing RQM 2.0.1 on WAS 7.0.0.7

Luis Jimenez Matilla (111) | asked Jun 22 '10, 4:00 a.m.
Hi all

I'm trying to install RQM 2.0.1 iFix2 on a WAS 7.0.0.7, I have a doubt about WAS, which WAS environment do I have to install?

There are five options:

1) Cell (deployment manager and federated application server)
2) Managment
3) Application Server
4) Custom profile
5) Secure proxy (configuration-only)

I guess that it should be 1 o 3, but I'm not sure, any advice would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello,
You need to install the Application Server. 7.0.0.7 is the correct version. Double check that your JVM is upgraded to the correct version.
For detailed instructions on set-up, please refer to:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rqmhelp/v2r0/topic/com.ibm.jazz.install.doc/topics/t_s_server_installation_setup_WAS.html

You can start off of a "basic" WebSphere Application Server install (take defaults through install) and then follow the steps in the above documentation for WAS configuration.

Hope that helps.
