RRCS Not connecting to setup page.
I am installing RRC from the Jazz disk I received at IBM Innovate. I can start the server, I get the "Server startup in ### ms". But when I enter https://localhost:9443/rdm/setup in my browser, it just hangs. I have tried Chrome, FireFox, Internet Explorer and Safari.
I have added localhost as a trusted site. I have deleted my cache and cookies. I have rebooted the system. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit, but I installed the application in the x86 folder and as I mentioned above, it is does start the server. Any ideas of how to get past the hang up for the set up? When I run RRC I get to a "set up" type page, but it is trying to connect to the server. As I am not able to get to the setup screen for the server, there is nothing to connect to for the client. |

Hi there. When you say it hangs, how long are you waiting? It will actually take several minutes for the setup screen to appear. This can catch people a bit off guard when you don't know to expect it.

I could not find in the speck if Rational Requirements Composer 2.0 is compatible with 7. |

Thanks Hi there, I also had this problem and found that the installation is not tolerant of spaces in path names. This may be a result of using Apache. To fix the issue, I reinstalled in a path without spaces. Basically, I took "Program Files" out of my install path and installed directly into C:\IBM\... Other forums have comments from people who have manually corrected the paths by inserting "%20" in place of the spaces (e.g. Program%20Files) |
