Insight congnos data manager tool

Hi All,

I have installed Rational Insight V1.0 in linux box with data manager cognos component and also I have data ware house, db2 XML configuration and report server in the same server.

I need to open a data manager tool to configure the ETL jobs for live or export, transfer and load type for RQM but I could not find the way to open data manager in linux box using VNC.

Can any one help me on this plz.

Only "Data Movement Service" of Cognos Business Intelligence (BI) Data Manager is supported on this platform (Linux). The remaining Cognos BI Data Manager functionality is not supported on the Linux Platforms.

Thanks for the reply. Can I know how can I install the Data manager functionality in windows machine and how I can integrate with my linux box? I mean after setting the configuration in Data Manager how I can integrate with my linux box?

I am trying to configure the XML configuration in Insight and got struck with the URL.

I have Quality Manager PA created in RQM server and can I mention the URL as below ? Am I right ?
https://server_host:9491/jazz/secure/service/com.ibm.rqm.integration.service.IIntegrationService/resources/Quality+Manager

URL type : Generic XML
Authentication type : Form ( We are using LDAP configuration for authentication ) Which one I need to select ?
User Name : ADMIN ( not created in RQM and PA )
Password : ADMIN

Can you please help me at this point? How I can go for it to do the test connection success ?

Hi Omprakash,

For the URL, the server and port will depend on your configuration. By default the secure RQM port is 9443. The last part of the URL "Quality+Manager" is the name of the RQM project area that you want to connect to.

The user name and password will need to be that of a user who has read access to the RQM project area.

and gave the read only access user information in it then worked for me. Thanks a lot
