How to make a string list using Filtered Value Set so that it can have only one selection?

Rohit Goyal (11) | asked Jul 18 '23, 8:19 a.m.

 Hello all,

We are trying to create a custom attribute with Type of String List. We have created a Filtered Value set and added it to the custom attribute. But currently, we are able to make multiple selections. We want the Filtered Value Set to have only one selection. Could you please let me know how we can achieve the required functionality?

Why would you use a string list, if you only want one value?

Hi Ralph,

So, we want a custom attribute which can have filter capability. We tried to search for, and found that String List has the filter functionality.

We are new to EWM, if you can guide us to some other type that we can use to get a dropdown list with filter, but with only one value should be able to select will be very helpful.

The "filter" you refer to, is based on the HTTP Filtered Value Set and not based on the custom attribute type. If you want to have one value choice, use a string type attribute and the HTTP filtered value set configured for it.
