Understanding Streams and components in ETM & RM

 I would like to have some simple explanation for users on the following:

  • EWM has the following structure:
    • Streams -> Components.
  • RM & ETM has the following structure:
    • Component  -> Stream
Users often don't get this on why within a tool suite there are such differences. I cannot find explanation in the documentations as well.

Can someone explain the differences in these constructs?
