RPE Table of Contents

 Hi,

The Table of contents in RPE is generated as:

Table of Contents

1.Introduction
  1.1Scope
2.Requirement

Is it possible to get the output as follows:

Table of Contents

1.Introduction

   1.1Scope

2.Requrirements

Want minimum spacing between the lines in case of TOC. Kindly let me know what needs to be done to fetch the above output.

 Anusha,

If MS Word / PDF document is an output you can use ToC formating in Word.

When You generate a PDF/DOC you can add Word template as stylesheet with ToC formating predefined.

Thank you,

It was very helpful.

Thank you Bartosz,

Is there any way I get to do this in the RPE itself?
Because each time we generate document for other modules in DNG, will have to format it manually in PDF/Word . But we are trying to save one standard template for the rest of the modules to generate the document.

The best answer is to setup a Word doc with the formatting you want and to not use the TOC from within RPE. Our approach follows the IBM recommendations which are to create a cover page with document fields/properties, a TOC, TOF, and TOT with defined paragraph styles in it.

RPE then populates the doc properties and completes the document from page (n) to the end. The TOC, TOF, and TOT is automatically populated.
