RPE - Load configuration file from RPE before report generation ?

Chandan M B (1133473) | asked Jun 05 '20, 6:56 a.m.

 Hi,

We have developed the RPE template to generate Reports.

For me, it looks like static generation of reports (pre-defined attributes) <o:p> </o:p>

We are thinking to make template dynamic ( by loading some kind of property file) before RPE starts fetching data from CLM application. <o:p> </o:p>

Could you guide us whether it is possible as part of RPE ? <o:p> </o:p>

It didnt provided me much insight

Chandan

If your goal is to include the attributes dynamically (based on user input) in the output, you can use conditions/filters as in the sample reports that come with DNG. That is, include all attributes in the template and show them based on some condition.
You can also dynamically reference other templates within a template, but you need to update the referenced templates before document generation.
Another option is to use special attribute with variable value. You can see "Add Special Attribute..." option by right clicking on schema in Data Source View.
