Why does shift-space not result in a space in DNG?

David Clark (2341352) | asked Jun 22 '20, 4:39 p.m.

When typing in an artifact while in a module view, the use of the shift key to produce all CAPS for a series of words does not work.

HEREISANEXAMPLE - this is what you would end up with. This is in Firefox and Chrome.
Note 1 - space works with CAPS LOCK on
Note 2  - Shift-Space work when editing the artifact from the open artifact UI

It just does not when editing an artifact from within the module view.

Has anyone else seen this? Is there a work around - other than CAPS LOCK and/or editing in the Artifact editor?

IS this a bug to be submitted to IBM?

Hi David

You don't say what version you're using - anyway this was a regression from 6.0.3, corrected in 6.0.6, https://jazz.net/jazz03/web/projects/Requirements%20Management#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=121521

We are using 6.0.4, so I assume based on the work item, a fix is in for 6.0.6 but not back ported to 6.0.4?

For some reason can't comment on your comment - it wasn't fixed as an APAR defect, and was delivered in the GA - no it's not backported.
