Is there a way to stop adding duplicate test cases in a particular Test Suite in IBM Rational Quality Manager?

Srashti Dubey (113) | asked Jan 16 '20, 1:40 a.m.

In IBM RQM Application, while adding test cases to a test suite, have noticed that duplicate test cases(having same ID) can be added to same Test Suite again. This we don't want because this is useless to add same test case again to same test suite which can create confusion for users.

So is there a way we can validate this or stop this duplicacy of test cases on test suites?

RQM Version is: 6.0.6.1

Hello Srashti,

Unfortunately, this behavior is working as design, one reason could be that you can assign a different test script to the same test case in a test suite or the need to execute the same test case multiple time as explained in this workitem:

you could submit an RFE to add such a check.

Matthieu
