Move users to a new install

 We are building a training system, and the existing user in another system would like access to it, using their same credentials.


Both systems are CLM 6.0.4.  If I copy the basicuserregistry.xml from the original system to the Training system, and restart, should all of the accounts and passwords ?

 Gerald, I think the xml file brings all the user over, but it will not add these users to the CLM repository. You will have to create the users.


You can use the repotools -exportUsers and repotools -importUsers to do that.

I would consider to think about using an LDAP system in the long run.
