How to perform reconciliation with only objects of particular type in Doors

Abhishek Biswas (52113) | asked Jan 28 '19, 12:30 p.m.

We use Classic Doors for requirements management. In the requirements document in Doors we use an attribute called type to classify if the object is a requirement or a comment or a heading etc.

Now when we perform reconciliation from a master test plan requirements collection section, we want to reconciliation to work for only objects of type requirement and ignore objects of other types like comments etc.

Is this somehow possible?

Hi Abhishek,

I understand that you have a module with Type Attribute as one of the columns of the Module and it has different different object types as Requirement, Heading, Comment etc.

Now, Apply a filter based on this Type Attribute and save the Module as different views. For example, in your case, Apply the filter for Type "Requirement" and save the module view as  "Req View". Note this module will be different from your Standard View.

Come Back to QM, and Link it to this "Req VIew" of the Module and do the Reconciliation.
It will reconcile on the Requirement Objects from the module of Type "Requirement" , but not others like heading or comment.

Hope this Helps,
